Welcome to Wraysbury House
Wraysbury House is an independent private care home, specialising in Dementia and Residential Care, set in a conservation area of Worthing West Sussex, with its own ornate gardens and surrounded by mature trees in a leafy suburb of West Worthing, within a few minutes’ walk from Worthing Beach and town centre, providing a beautiful setting for our residents to make themselves a home away from home.
We have up to 30 residents at a time, each in their own en-suite bedrooms, which are decorated and furnished to the highest standard. Each room can be personalised to the residents wishes. Every room is monitored for safety and for their daily needs by our nurse call systems. All rooms can be easily accessed by a passenger lift leading to all three floors of the home.
Life at Wraysbury House
We believe that Person Centred Care is fundamental to the quality of care we deliver at Wraysbury House. We take great efforts in making sure each resident’s care is tailored precisely to their needs and desires in living a healthy life within the home.
An essential part of our care is to ensure our residents medical needs and personal aspirations are met. We make sure we are aware of each individuals personal history: the pastimes they enjoy, their personal stories they love, and the enjoyments in life they wish to re-visit.
We have several Activity Coordinators who create programmes for daily activities for each resident.
My husband was a resident for two and a half years and for all of this time he was happy and content. This was down solely to the amazing care he received. All the carers treated him with the utmost dignity and always showed such compassion. Overall, their attitude to caring for someone living with dementia is exemplary. During my husbands final days I know I wouldn’t have found better care anywhere. Not only did they care very well for him they cared for me just as they always had done. The home has well-appointed rooms and very clean and well maintained with a lovely garden which is accessible to all residents. The owner takes a very hands-on approach and is always available together with the manager if you need to raise any issues. I would recommend Wraysbury House without any doubt to anyone I know.
The home is very friendly and as my father has Alzheimer’s he needs a lot of encouragement which all the staff give him. They have a person that does activities, he is encouraged to join in. We can visit when we like, take him out. There is also a lovely garden he can go in when it is warmer. He is treated with dignity and kindness from all the staff and we are given support by the management.
My husband has been a resident at Wraysbury House for 5 and a half years, he is very settled and happy in his home. I find the staff always very helpful and courteous. The management always make themselves available to me and help with any queries I have. The activities are also very good and he enjoys all of them.
To truly experience Wraysbury House we recommend a viewing where a dedicated member of staff will be pleased to walk you through the home and answer any questions you may have.
Placing loved ones in care can be a daunting decision, which is why will try to accommodate every request we receive.
Subject to availability we will be happy to arrange a Taster Day where your loved one can experience the homes environment firsthand.
